A Proud New US Citizen

October 28th, 2011, turned out to be a way more emotional day than I ever expected.  I was sworn in as a new US Citizen. I will start this show sharing my observations and thoughts on the process of legal entry in to the US.

I even received a letter from the President stating, "you have sworn a solemn oath to this country, and you share in its privileges and responsibilities. Our democratic principles and liberties are yours to uphold through active and engaged participation. I encourage you to be involved in your community and to promote the values that guide us as Americans."

Mr President  - I am so pleased that you have encouraged me to be active, engaged and involved in my community....I am very active, very engaged and very involved, like so many other hard-working, patriotic folk across this great nation.
