This is the first show for the Spring 2013 OSU course - Physical Dimensions of Free-Choice Learning: Designing Learning Environments. Dr. Shawn Rowe hosts with guest Jarret Geenen, doctoral candidate from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. Jarret completed his undergraduate and graduate work at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. His graduate work investigated the multimodal construction of humour in The Colbert Report. His current research investigates action, practice and mediation as it occurs in the sport of Kitesurfing. His research interests include multimodal mediated theory, intrinsically motivated learning and human geography.
