Survivor Voice: Katy Asks How Does The Abuser Get The Children?

Katy was in a domestic violence relationship for 8 years.  She left then met someone else for two months.  He hit her after second month of being with him.  Although she left him immediately, she was forced to give up her two beautiful girls to live with her prior abuser, via the social services.

It is the same question many survivors ask.   Do the Courts really understand the gravity of it all?
