A Young Woman’s Story of Survival and Renewal

A woman who has seen death flash before her eyes, but never gave up. A woman who was tortured mentally, verbally and physically for no reason other than being with a man who was selfish and thought the only way to keep her would be to put her through so much pain and to scare her into staying. It worked until she got her strength back that she had when she met him and stood up for what was right. What he didn’t realize is he was only pushing her away and making her stronger for what God had in store. She is now in the process of healing and she believes that reaching out to others, sharing her story and helping those who are in the same situation see that there is hope. She wants to help where help is needed and now volunteers all of her time at a homeless outreach organization. She firmly believes she has found her calling and wants everyone who is, has been or will find themselves in a domestic violence situation to stand up and take their control back and remember that they are VICTORS not VICTIMS.
