Meet Zoey Thomas - Domestic Violence & Working Through Legalities

Zoey held the belief that only the weak and ignorant stay. She never imagined she would find herself in an abusive relationship or that she would leave and return and endure for over five years. Now, she is trying to collect the pieces of her life, has a wonderful child and supportive husband, but is struggling with the legal system which she feels has punished her for leaving the abuse and made her feel even more trapped. As she continues to work through the labyrinth of legalities, she wants other young women and men to know they are not alone, and they do have options, and that parents especially need to take precautions to protect themselves when escaping abuse.
