Hosted by Brett Hicks. Pets are part of the family and need consideration when disaster strikes! Pets are a major reason why people ignore evacuation orders, they have unique disaster sheltering needs, if mishandled they can cause injury to responders, and they can become a public relations nightmare for public safety.

Brett Hicks will present a roundtable discussion with Dr. Jay Kyle, DVM and Ms. Diane Robinson (American Humane Association). We will discuss animal sheltering needs and considerations, actions for public safety, and some of the trends in animal rescue. We will take your calls and comments so please join us and share your questions with our panel.
