Akua, a prominent business woman and real estate investor, is the National Operations Director for A Life of Peace. She has for over 19 years, owned and operated AKUA Master Loctician and Braider services, which was among the first in Houston’s Natural Hair Care industry, Bojakaz Natural Products, Yeyeakua Online Bookstore, and her most recent gift to her childhood community, Beautiful Learning and Care Academy. An outstanding educator for 17 years, Akua holds a bachelors degree in Communications from the HBCU Texas Southern University and she completed her continuing studies in education at St. Thomas University. Her interest in education have taken her to Accra, Ghana, West Africa to share her education expertise with Prince of Peace International School in Bubuashie, Accra, North. She has also worked with the Help a School Organization (HASOP) on International Educators’ Exchange programs. A Texas Certified Teacher, Akua has received many awards and recognitions. Dedicated to issues of Pan African Empowerment and Health - Akua assists clients through comprehensive nutritional biochemistry and has had the pleasure of working with such healers as Queen Afua, Founder of the Heal Thyself Program, Queen Mother Maash t Am Amen, Creator of the Het Heru Healing Dance, Dr. Llaila O. Afrika author of African Holistic Health, Dr. Paul Goss, Founder of New Body Products, and a host of healers and community activists.
