Guest: Michael Marshall
Communications Director of The Global Peace Foundation
Michael Marshall hails from the great city of Manchester, in England, but has made the United States his adoptive home for almost 30 years now. He is a proud American citizen.
Michael is Communications Director for the Global Peace Foundation, an international non-profit organization that is building a global network of grassroots leaders who create model projects for developing peaceful families, communities, and nations. These efforts are rooted not in any one faith tradition but in the universal spiritual vision that we are all, regardless of race, nationality, or religion, members of One Family under God.
Michael’s background is in journalism. For seven years, from 2003-2010, he was editor-in-chief of United Press International, the international news service based in Washington, D.C. Prior to that he was executive editor of The World & I Magazine, a monthly publication with a renaissance flavor, covering everything from current events, to the arts, science, books and trends in contemporary thought. It has been widely used by teachers in colleges and high schools.
Michael holds a Masters degree in history from the university of Cambridge in the U.K. He is still an avid student of history and believes we have to learn its lessons well to navigate a challenging future.
