Open Minds Open Hearts radio show update: (Monday, Sept. 24, 8-9 PM EDT, on Blog Talk Radio. The show’s theme is “The Interfaith Observer” – a new way to connect within the Interfaith movement. The guest is Rev. Paul Chaffee.
Rev. Paul Chaffee, ordained in the United Church of Christ, is the founding executive director of the Interfaith Center at the Presidio, where he served for 17 years. He sat on United Religions Initiative’s original Board of Directors for six years and is a trustee of the North American Interfaith Network (NAIN). He led the teams which planned the initial URI-North America summit in 2001 and NAIN’s 20 anniversary NAIN Connect in 2008. Paul is The Interfaith Observer’s editor: The Interfaith Observer (TIO), launched on September 15, 2011, is an electronic journal created to explore interreligious relations and the interfaith movement as a whole. It will provide historical perspectives, survey current interfaith news, and otherwise provide maps and sign-posts for newcomers. It will offer a context to explore and respond to the new religious world around us. The Observer is designed as a resource for the general reader, anyone interested in the subject; but articles will be filled with references and links for those who wish to pursue a particular subject.
