AMERICA'S GOT TALENT IS THE SUBJECT FOR TONIGHT AND W ARE GOING TO BE JOINED BY TWO MEN OF THE ARTS. TERENCE E JACKSON OWNER OF USPACE GALLERY IN ATLANTA,GA AND LATEEF KARAM MUSICIAN OF DETROIT AND DELORES HARRIS, VOCALIST WILL JOIN US TO TALK ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF THE ARTS IN OUR LIVES TODAY.

 

I REMEMBER WHEN MUSIC WAS A BASIC CLASS IN ALL SCHOOLS BUT AS BUDGETS WERE CUT ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS TO LEAVE THE SCHOOLS IN THE INTERCITY WAS THE ARTS. ONE OF THE VERY WAYS TO HELP CHILDREN DEVELOPE IN CULTURE WAS STRIPED AWAY AND LOST.

 

MUSIC AND ART ARE TWO ELEMENTS THAT BROKEDOWN THE WALLS OF COLOR AND IS SHARED BY EVERYBODY, BUT OVER THE YEAR IT HAS NOT BEENPROMOTED AS IT SHOULD IN OUR SCHOOLS AND AMONGS THE PEOPLE AND TONIGHT WE WANT TO TALK ABOUT THAT AS WELL AS THE WAY PEOPLE ARE SUCK INTO MAINSTREAM OR POPULAR NAMES IN THE BUSINESS WHO ARE NOW RESHAPING PEOPLES LIVES.
