Dr. Rashida Alisha Jones, Psy.D. received her B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia in 2002. She obtained her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Regent University in 2009. She works primarily in forensic psychiatric settings and has developed a program to assist ex-offenders with transitioning into the community successfully. She will be featured in a Criminal Justice magazine describing her work as a forensic psychologist. Dr. Jones is passionate about restoring families and communities and has done so through her work at a community based mental health agency where she provided family and individual therapies to at risk children and families. She recently conducted a seminar on Black Women and Relationships during a panel discussion for the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice last spring. In the summer, she created a Teen Sex Forum for a youth summit to educate and promote pregnancy prevention in adolescents. This area is vital to Dr. Jones as she is the mother of one son, Kanaii Addae Jones, who is an honor roll achieving third grader. She has also held several leadership positions with the Association of Black Psychologists. Dr. Jones stands firmly on the Scripture from Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come…” Dr. Jones intends to use her talents to build God’s Kingdom by empowering women, rebuilding families and providing hope to the oppressed. National Business Coach, Bill Crespo will answer questions on how to develop new skills to increase revenue, improve time management, develop new habits that can take us to our next level. T
