Iyalorisa Amma Oloriwaa! (the exclamation point is part of her name. She says it is an indicator to others and reminder to herself that she is someone special to take notice of) is a Brooklyn native, born to parents Mamie and Leon. She is an initiate of Obatala in the Lukumi Orisa tradition. He life in Orisa began almost 30years ago in the ile of her godfather Oni Yemonja Yomi Yomi Awolowo.
Oloriwaa!, as she prefers to be called, has studied traditional African music and dance from the moment she was introduced to the culture by the late Akan chief Nana Yao Opare Dinizulu- Ibaye.
