A child is sexually abused every 13 seconds in the US. 88% of these cases are believed to never be reported. However, research that has been done shows it is prevalent and widespread. It is having a devastating impact on families and communities.

As many as 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 7 boys will be sexually abused at some point in their life. In 93% of the cases the child knows the abuser. 47% of the reported cases are family or extended family.
