In the first half of this segment, Linda took us along on a live ghost hunting expedition to the former Masonic Lodge in Richland Center, WI. In the second half, we discussed Linda's book, The Beast of Bray Road, that detailed her personal quest to determine the truth about the unholy critter that roams the small town of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and her more recent title, Hunting the American Werewolf. These are definitive reading for anyone and everyone interested in all things hairy, monstrous, and, of course, wolfish. If you thought werewolves were strictly the imaginative product of horror novelists and Hollywood scriptwriters, then think again. As Linda reveals, there really may be diabolical man-beasts roaming by moonlight the woods, the forests and the landscape of the more remote parts of North America and a considerable number of the not so remote parts, too. The Natives knew it, the more recent witnesses sometimes talk about it, and Linda is the chronicler for these accounts. We pay special attention to the Native teachings and sites that seem to support the existence of these as real creatures.
