part of the message was cut. But, to follow up this bluff runs parallel to the mississippi river from hours south of here to hours north of here. The bluff varies in height and is taller then the mounds themselves. William has it right.. there is another purpose..imo. Thanks rob

I sent an email regarding this radio show. A friend directed me to this site. I think the caller had a valid point to consider regarding relocation up on a hill. I can see the mound from the bluff that i live on. Which is apprx 80+ high. This bluff is only 1-2 miles from the Mound. I do not [in my opinion] think the Mound is there to avoid flood. Seems logical to locate 1-2 miles East up on the bluff...Vs spent the time and labor it would have taken to produce the Mound. something to cons
