Francisco Alarcón will read and discuss his work from 12:30 PM – 1:15 PM, and Poets La Tigresa, and Joan Gelfand will be on from 1:15 PM – 2:15 PM. Poets’ Gallery is sponsoring this free program titled “I AM The Goddess” at 506 Broadway in San Francisco. You can also catch Joan and La Tigresa at a benefit for Haitian and Chilean earthquake survivors at the Islamic Cultural Center on 14th and Madison in Oakland on Friday, April 30th from 6-9 PM. Proceeds will go to The Haitian Emergency Relief Fund, and Doctors Without Borders. Francisco Alarcón will also be reading at a fundraiser for Haiti and Chile on Sunday, March 28th from 7-10 PM at La Pena, 3105 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley, CA.
