Join Rafael as he talks to Charles Potts author of Inside Idaho Charles Potts has been a sheepherder, a real estate agent, and a student of Eastern language. One of the radical poets of the Berkeley Renaissance in 1968, Potts has written nearly thirty books and published the work of other writers under the imprints Litmus and Tsunami Books. Known for his avant-garde work within the American Projectivist school, Potts studied under Ed Dorn of Black Mountain College; he went on to found the Temple Bookstore, a poetry school, The Temple Magazine, and the radical music journal Arthur. Potts grew up on a ranch in Mackay, Idaho, and now lives in Walla Walla, Washington, with his third daughter Natalie. Potts is the recipient of a Distinguished Professional Achievement Award from Idaho State University and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Washington Poet’s Association.
