Join Rafael as he talks to Roy Johnston R. K. Johnston is a noted poet from California. "Mr. Johnston has a wildly imaginative regard for the world of objective reality that enables him to uncover a wonderfully surprising quirkiness in things, driven by an angle of vision unique to our recent American poetry." noted American poet, translator, and professor Bruce Wiegl. R.K. Johnston's new book Dissonance & Consonance has been designated "Book of the Month" by the publishing company Finishingline Press Eating Spring I stroll the same way and place every a.m. The scratchy sounds of my oaks announce spring, as crisp air leaves invite a returning stew. Fractured light presents itself in a green dry dance. Small birds in the background, without a dancing partner just sit tight. In a near bed, purple flowers touch each other as love reaches an unknown level. Lizards with motorcycling legs chase each other for that mating thing- How do they love? Is it in that place of sweetening their own race? Go away boar, leave us leaves alone. We want oakish mushrooms to be fed to us. Saddened boar squints and waddles away. Recalling Pershing Square, that never spoke these untitled sounds. But, it played only a consistent pedal point. A hushed light squirming through mossy oaks is one more premiere we can all applaud.
