  Ex-Gang members expose alarming details about their initiation and involvment with gang violence
  

  A former member of the Latin Queens decribes the graphic details about her initiation and involvement in gang violence. A former Vice Lord reveals how he killed a youth before he was nine years old after having been molested from the age of 3.
  
  Their cry for help is felt as they express how their homes were the breeding ground for what lead to their criminal lifestyles.  The program also featured a mental health expert and family therapist from Florida, a community activist from Joliet, Illinois, a minister from Chicago.
  
  While Chicago's Mayor Daley is emphasizing police, role models and mentors this discussion reveals that the root of the problem calls for other solutions.  The causes of youth violence is candidly revealed in this solutions oriented live discussion.  The conclusion of this week long discussion will air live on Friday at 9:00 AM Central Standard Time on Blogtalkradio.
  
  This topic was chosen in response to rising epidemic of violence along with a grant announcement by the Department of Justice Weed and Seed program in addition to a grant called Peaceful Pathways presented by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.  Both grants are intended to help fund collaborative efforts to reduce violence in high needs communities.
