There has been much talk about government grants, foundation donations and even stimulus dollars that has left many people wondering 1) Is this real? And 2) If this money is available, how do I get it? The answer to the first question is “yes”. It is real and true that government grants as well as foundation dollars are available and will probably remain available even if we experience a total economic collapse. We will always have grants because all governments must have solutions to societal problems. Governments like the United States allow the community and non-governmental entities to have the opportunity to offer sound solutions to societal problems. In order to get good solutions and good talent to execute those solutions, the government offers financial support. This financial support is offered in the form of grants. Grants are monies set aside to fund projects that will demonstrate the extent of how a proposed solution can successfully decrease a problem. ( This is an excerpt from the book "My Grant Writing Secrets, by Dr. Margaret Jamal, a Grantmaker, Grant Reviewer and Speaker for Organizational Development, and Faith-based Initiatives; holding a Doctorate in Christian Counseling and Human Services.) This program is designed to offer tangible solutions to the critical issues that are challenging the quality of life in various populations. We invite forward thinkers, entrepreneurs and solutions oriented talkers to engage in meaningful problem solving. These episodes may be forwarded to government officials to let them review solutions oriented discussions.
