The ACLU will never let this happen - curfews offend the Constitutional right to free assembly. It's a sad situation, the community needs to come together and lock down that place.

This is a complex situation with no easy solution. The consensus is definitely that it's going to take involvement from everyone in the community for change to happen. With that said, we also have to provide meaningful learning opportunities and activities for these youth to participate in that will give them a different perspective on life; as well as positive alternatives to the street life. Extreme cases calls for extreme measures as people are losing their lives by turning a blind eye and offering excuses for what goes on six inches in front of their noses. If curfews don't work then what? Sounds like we need to be more aggressive on the accountability side. Father, mother and the young-people need to understand the severity of their actions. NOT necessarily with punishment as we know it, but with consistent, real intervention.
