we spoke to Dr. Lance Hammond about colorism in the criminal justice system and how light skin black women recieve significantly less prison sentences and acutual time served. The research was conducted by Dr. Lance Hammond and two other colleagues at Villanova University and they looked at the cases of over 12,000 black women who entered the criminal justice system in North Carolina. We will listen to that interview and engage in some post analysis.

Shareef Hameed has a degree in Criminal Justice and will join for the post analysis of the colorism interview with Dr. Lance Hannon. Shareef Hameed is mentor for a group for black boys called HYPE, a mentor & black history instructor for Rites of Passage, a group for black boys ages 13-18.
