Friends, with the NFL Draft fast approaching, fans are following mock drafts and discussing where Johnny Football lands. Forget about trying to predict what your favorite team is going to do – trade up or down, take best player available, fill a need, or trade out of the pick. But for the players, can you imagine the anticipation, the excitement, and the uncertainty before the call and the relief after the call? So the question of the day… on N.F.L. Draft Day, what happens when you are called?
To help us with that is Byron Williams, who is the President of the NFL Players Association based in Dallas, Texas which represents over 500 Pro Players. Byron is a hero to many. The former football star had an illustrious career that he has since parlayed into a career teaching success principles to young people. Drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1983, Williams played a total of 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), Canadian Football League (CFL) and World League of American Football (WLAF) before retiring to pursue his new passion. Today, the inspirational athlete spends much of his time traveling and speaking to teens about setting goals and succeeding in the game of life.
