Ann Mah, journalist and author of "Kitchen Chinese: A Novel About Food, Love, and Finding Yourself," has written a new book, "Mastering the Art of French Eating," and will be on tonight to talk about the book and her experience of how she came to write the book.
 
When her diplomat husband was given a three-year assignment in Paris, Ann was overjoyed. But then her husband was called to Iraq, leaving Ann alone in the "City of Lights." So, to pass the time alone, she explored the history and taste of everything from 'Boeuf Bourguignon' to 'Soupe au Pistou,' to the crispiest of buckwheat crepes. And somewhere between Paris and the south of France, she uncovered a few of life’s truths.
