Like the "Beatles," Chef Jon Ashton began his story in the cold, gray port city of Liverpool, England. From the time he was a young boy, he learned about the joy of cooking in his Granny Ashton's warm cottage kitchen, where he created recipes with her before he took home economic classes at school, furthering his interest in the art of cooking. In spite of being bullied by schoolmates for being one of the few boys in the class, he persisted, quickly realizing cooking was his passion.

Jon graduated college in Great Britain and worked at several restaurants, leading to appearances on British television. It wasn't long before America discovered him, and he answered the call from America, leaving everything he had known behind him and traveling to America, arriving in Florida with two thousand dollars in his pocket.

Jon quickly began producing and starring in his own local access television show soon after taking a position as the regular midday chef at Orlando's FOX affiliate station, landing him on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" within a year.

Having been an obese child, Jon fully understands the struggles and challenges of being overweight, and is committed to improving the eating choices of young people in America. He has regular appearances on "The Today Show," and is currently the food correspondent on the nationally syndicated "The Daily Buzz." He is also the Executive Chef for Relish Magazine, inspiring 62 million readers monthly with simple and seasonal recipes.

Jon has worked with many A-List celebrities and culinary icons, including Vince Vaughn, Seth Green, Andy Garcia, Rachael Ray, Paula Deen, Emeril Lagasse, Martha Stewart, Giada De Laurentis, and many others.
