Lloyd Vernet Bridges III, or "Beau," as he was called early-on, was born into what has become a true Hollywood dynasty of actors and performers.
Beau made his first big screen appearance at the tender age of seven, in "No Minor Vices," with Dana Andrews and Louis Jordan, and appeared with his brother, Jeff, in his father, Lloyd Bridges "Sea Hunt" series in 1961.
The father of four sons and one daughter has always followed in the footsteps of his father, keeping family first and foremost, and enjoys close relationships with his children, who are all but one in some form of the entertainment industry themselves, and with his brother.
The busy actor has over 200 films and television roles to date, 2 Golden Globe wins and 2 nominations; 3 Emmy wins and 12 nominations; and 4 Oscar nominations. Currently he is seen reunited with Sally Field, 32 years after Norma Rae, once again as her love interest, on ABC's "Brothers and Sisters," and has two films in production.
