THE 21st CENTURY GENTLEMAN

Sean Kanan's first big break came when he was cast in "The Karate Kid, Part 3," directed by Academy Award winner, John Avildsen. He went on to star in the FOX series, "The Outsiders," later joining the cast of the ABC daytime show, "General Hospital," playing A.J. Quartermaine, from 1993-7, which resulted in his being nominated for Outstanding Newcomer in Soap Opera Digest's awards. He joined the cast of "Sunset Beach," on NBC, as Jude Cavanaugh, until the show was cancelled. Sean wrote and executive produced "Chasing Holden," and joined the cast of the CBS daytime hit, "The Bold and the Beautiful," playing bad boy Deacon Sharpe for nearly four years.

Since leaving "The Bold and the Beautiful" in 2005, Sean has starred in several feature films, and competed in the third season of the Italian version of "Dancing With The Stars," in 2006. In 2009, Kanan starred in the Indie film, "Prodigal," directed by Al Pacino's daughter, Julie Pacino, considered at the Cannes Film Festival. In late April 2010, Sean was cast in two Indie comedy horror films, "Watch Island," and "Slayers." His newest film, "My Trip To The Dark Side," was written and directed by Emmy Award-winner, Shane Stanley.

Grateful fans are happy to see Sean back on daytime, currently appearing in "The Bold and the Beautiful" sister show, the award winning, "The Young and the Restless," reprising his 'Deacon Sharpe' role.
