Eventually she went to New York to pursue acting/theater, and immediately nabbed the lead role of Priya in A.R. Rayman & Andrew Lloyd Webber's tour of "Bombay Dreams.This Spring, Shetty opened to rave reviews in her off-Broadway debut starring in Ayub Kahn-Din's "Rafta Rafta." Additional theatre credits include roles and readings with the Contemporary American Theatre Festival, New Dramatists, Playwright's Forum, and The Lark Theatre Company. In television she guest starred on "30 Rock," and made her film debut in the 2009 film, "Steam, opposite Oscar-nominee, Ruby Dee. Last year Shetty was named the face of DOVE soap in India. expand
