  Miami Dade County Urban Development Boundary - Hold the Line - Dawn Shirreffs of UDBline.org

  Dawn Shirreffs was Nadine's guest. Dawn works for CleanWaterAction.org. She is the spokesperson for a Miami-Dade activist group called 'Hold the Line.' She, aong with many other residents of Miami-Dade County, is oppossed to the efforts of developers to move the urban development boundary line further west, toward the Everglades, to accommodate more residential and commerical construction.
  
  New development will jeopardize the groundwater, and result in the need to expand county services.
  
  The State of Florida opposes the change, as do all environmental organizations. Dawn encourages residents to email their county commissioner with a note stating their opposition to moving the boundary.

  Haitian Artoire Project to be Featured at Miami Mid-Century Gallery During Art Basel Miami 2008

  Operation Green Leaves' Artoire Project will be the featured exhibit at Miami Mid-Century Gallery during Art Basel Miami Beach 2008. Located in the Wynwood Art District, Miami Mid-Century Gallery is at 3404 North Miami Avenue, approximately two blocks west of the Art Miami Pavillion, a 100,000 square foot airconditioned tent showcasing art from 100 galleries.
  
  The first completed piece of the the Haitian Artoire Project, an oval table by New York City artist Paulette Lust, was put in the Mid-Century Gallery on November 14th. Others will be added as they are completed.
