Erin Healy founded Youth L.E.A.D. in 2009 in response to health disparities and environmental pollution caused by the industrial, corporate food industry. She holds a Master's Degree in Public Health from Tulane University and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Erin worked in the fields of youth development and community health in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and West Africa before moving to Miami in 2008, when she transitioned to leading an environmental education program at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden for two years followed by a one-year position as the Farm to School Manager for Miami Dade County Public Schools.
