I was born in New York, grew up in Paris, surrounded by eclectic, international diplomats and artists who frequented my home, and was educated in Paris and Switzerland. My first job (as a volunteer) was for Rolls Royce in Paris. I accepted fashion editor positions at Harper's Bazaar and Life Magazine became a union member as a publicist for MGM Studios then wrote weekly articles for the LA Times HOME Magazine. For adventure and service, I enrolled as a Peace Corps volunteer after my children were grown and trained for assignment to community service in Tunisia. Inspired by friend and neighbor Norman Cousins Anatomy of an Illness, I founded HumoRx -Laugh Wagons, a program dedicated to the healing effects of affirmative emotions on the immune system at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. After a head-on auto collision that killed my fiancé, and after fifteen surgeries I learned to walk again. Returning to Yoga ( that I discovered in my twenties) for my rehabilitation, a new business was formed. The YogAbility Institute was developed as my second nonprofit corporation, a 501 C3. Yoga therapeutics are adapted for all levels and situations with a focus in attending to those with special needs or disabilities. Yoga for Special Needs DVD with Bea Ammidown is sold worldwide. Fluent in French and Spanish I am a member of the International Assoc. of Yoga Therapists; Yoga Alliance. Yoga for the Special Child" and Phoenix Rising Yoga trained. Mother of two actresses, one social worker and wild grandmother of five little girls.
