In this special broadcast on Awusidae (Akwasidae), an Akan Ancestral Observance which occurs every sixth Awusida/Akwesida (Sunday), we discuss our upcoming HOODOO MAYN: Hoodoo Nation Festival - Akan Ancestral Religion of Afurakanu/Afuraitkaitnut (Africans) in North America. This festival will occur on October 17th in Washington, DC.

This is the first Awusidae (Akwasidae) of our new year 13016 which began on the Atem/Atemet equinox, September 23rd. This first Ancestral observance also coincides with an Osranebere a Full, Red-Moon.

We will examine the nature of Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) Ancestral Religion as carried in the blood-circles of Afurakanu/Afuraitkaitnut (Africans) who were forced into the western hemisphere as a result of the Mmusuo Kese (Great Perversity/Enslavement era). Those of us who maintained our Ancestral Religious practice were empowered to overthrow the enslavement-system through warfare, thus forcing the whites into accepting abolition and emancipation.

Our annual HOODOO MAYN: Hoodoo Nation Festival will be an all day festival with vendors, workshops and presentations rooted in the restoration of our Authentic Ancestrally-inherited Religious traditions.
