Mikyia mo (Greetings),
Our live broadcast of EGUA - Marketplace is Awukuda (wednesday) 7/2/14 at 9pm EST on our blogtalkradio channel:
Our guest will be Bilal Sankofa, Owner of Ankh Services, a resource institute for Afrikan-centered life-coaching, training and consulting.
Coach Bilal Sankofa is a nationally known professional speaker specializing in culturally-specific transformational behavior. He works with youth and families in our community to overcome academic failure, unemployment, poverty, gang violence, child abuse, violence against women and the negative behavior patterns of today's at risk youth.
EGUA is the Akan term for 'Marketplace'. This show introduces Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African~Black) businesses and organizations that are providing products and services which are beneficial to the Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit community and reflect the values of our people.
Awuku and Akua are the Abosom (Deities) governing media of exchange. Awuku and Akua in Akan culture are called Set and Nebt Het in Khanit and Kamit (Nubia and Egypt) and Eshu and Agberu in Yoruba.
