    Return of the Light

    I looked into your eyes and saw something deep
    As deep as the cosmos is wide and flowing
    I am choosing to take a chance on an old, known friend
    A chance that the universe got it right this time
    Putting us into each others paths once again
    Seemingly an act of destiny or fate
    Is what you would be lead to believe
    So who are we to fight it?
    When I looked into your eyes I connected again with what we once were
    A force of light to be reckoned with in the endless sea of darkness
    Rivaling the gale force winds of the hurricanes and typhoons
    Not just with the physical you that gives strength to my mission
    A spiritual bond formed for us to live, not up to, but into forever with
    A reaffirmed connection with your soul that was never lost only misplaced
    Belief in love at first sight is hard for most to grasp
    But for it to come around a second time for the same two stars is unheard of
    Not for my earthly embodiment
    For nothing you see with me is as it seems
    The moment I saw you I became yours again
    And you, in turn, again became a part of the mystery that is me
    In this belief I stand firm for us
    Because I have a depth to my love, from the core of my soul, that only you can know
    That when I give it is so exponential that there is no way of measuring its capacity
    That it exceeds your expectation of what you were lead to believe it to be
    Not all hearts and flowers, kisses and caresses,
    Though that is what you are lead to believe is all there is to this, the ONE emotion
    But no…there is pain and hurt, sorrow and bitterness
    At times that helps build a stronger emotional bond between the two souls
    So allow yourself to embrace this for what it is
    Our round two if you must put it into status holding words
    A love put together by the universe and its infinite grand design
    Broken for a small period of time and careening throughout the countless days
    Unchecked and unchallenged like it could ever be stopped from coming around again
    For what has to inevitably come about in the course of time?
    Only to be forged again without the threat of defeated tears and fears
    And bound together by the thread that is never ending, binding and ultimately unbreakable
    Because no one will love me the way you were meant to love me
    And no one will love you the way I was meant to give myself completely to you
    Trust and believe in what this is forming into once again
    It will never go wrong if we have faith, trust and believe
    Like the infinite sands of time and the ever changing universe
    Nothing can stop this from becoming what it was meant to be
