What's up everybody, you're listening to Obsidian Radio: LIVE! - the Voice, of the Everyday Brotha. I'm your host Mumia Obsidian Ali, welcome to the program and thank you for listening. A frequent criticism my daily podcast show, "Obsidian Radio: The Podcast", heard on The Obsidian Media Network channel on YouTube gets, is that it focuses too much on "trivial" or even "devisive" content, such as mating concerns in Black America, or my regular critiques of what I refer to as "Black Female Fuckery", instead of "real" issues and concerns, such as police brutality, institutional racism and so forth. Most damning of these critiques is that I should be using my platform for the correcting of Black men's wayward and derelict ways and focusing on "taking our communities back". Many Black female YouTubers contend that the chief failing of Black men overall, is that they don't "build" anything. Are these critiques valid? Is yours truly off the mark in terms of my daily content? And if so, how do we make corrections? To discuss these and related questions, my special guest is one "Mr. Black", host of the "Black Men Taking Our Communities Back" channel on YouTube, who has agreed to come on and make the case that yours truly is indeed off the mark and that his program is the way to go. Whether you agree or disagree with either of us, you'll definitely want to tune in and join us with your calls at 516.387.1345 - the action begins at 6m EDT sharp! See ya then!
