Teaching in the Connected Learning Classroom—an exciting, new ebook edited and curated by a group of National Writing Project educators—was published in March 2014 by the Digital Media and Learning Research Hub. The book is sourced from examples of classroom practice originally shared at the NWP Digital Is website, and is unique in its focus on in-school work. It also explores principles of Connected Learning—a set of design and teaching principles that have emerged by watching how youth learn in digitally rich and networked environments where they are supported in pursuing their passions and interests. This group of Writing Project educators and leaders will talk about the potential implications for Writing Project site work and practices.
