Nutmeg's Mix  

Nutmeg’s Mix is a show about whatever Nutmeg feels like saying or playing. Nutmeg rambles alot and plays mostly independent/local music, and also some mainstream music too. Originally, the show was about the listener, and the many talents that you may have out there. She wants to feature musicians, poets, cosplay, visual artists, video gamers, sports, film makers, comedians – hobbies and talents of all types. Every show is a sort of an open-mic night, and there was supposed to be a discussion on a specific issue each show. Nutmeg still would like to run her show this way, however since there's not a whole lot of audience participation, what's a gal to do? Nutmeg understands you do have better things to do on a Friday night than listen to Internet Radio, and it's all good :) In the future, she would like to do live interviews with bands and other folks Nutmeg knows who are very talented individuals. ABOUT ME: I'm a full-time office/desk jockey by day and an internet junkie by night. I have been married 4 years and have a daughter who is 4. I also host an internet radio show every Friday at 10:30PM EST where I talk about random topics and plug the sh*t out of everyone's original work or small business, and play many local/independent artists' music, (not necessarily local to my area, but all areas). No matter how small they may seem, I believe that everyone should follow their dreams, whether they get actual recognition or not, because recognition does not equate to accomplishment. My show gives people a platform if they choose to call in and talk about what they do that makes them special. I also have been writing since childhood and finally compiled my poetry & short stories into a book, titled "Maddening The Silence." Samples from the book to be posted soon in blogs.     I hate everything right now

    today was not a good day.

    I got to work early for once, got my computer going, chit-chatted with my co-workers, and attempted at catching up on some back-logged work. Well, shortly after I begin, my phone won't stop ringing - everyone and their half-cousin had an issue and felt the need to call me.

    One of my  customers was a real f*cking c*nt and I wanted to punch her through the phone. I normally don't take being cursed out personally, but I was in no mood for her ghetto-ass sh*t. I wish I could let ppl have it, but losing my job is not worth cursing them the f*ck back. I feel sorry for her kids, having a mother like her.

    The nice thing though about today is that my co-worker made some kick-ass Asian food and a b-day cake for my other co-worker/my house-warming-congrats. That was nice.

    My 11am appt decided she wasn't coming in until 12:25 and the receptionist didn't get through to me until 12:45.Luckily she is much more pleasant to work with and had no problems with coming back another day. I wish more of my customers were that grateful and nice. 

    1pm I went to a bs meeting regarding workflow and policy and my unit doing even more stuff. The other parties involved are kinda reluctant, which I do not understand, as we're trying to lessen their load while minimizing mistakes.  Every time I tried to open my mouth to speak, someone talked over me. F*ck it. We'll see how this goes. 
     
    The rest of the workday was calm, except for my grumbling as I was typing case notes.

    After work, I went to my in-laws to pick up Angie, only to discover that Norm did that already.

    Tonight, while cleaning up after dinner, Angie was in the tub, not totally unattended, but she kept calling for me and I asked Norm to check on her. He's like, "oh she's fine." He finally peels himself from the stupid Flyers game, only to discover that the bathroom was Waterworld- a f*cking mess. he gets her out of the tub, leaves her in a towel, and re-laces his work shoes instead. So I had to stop what I was doing ( I was cleaning up the mess after dinner while getting the coffee and other stuff ready for the next morning), clean up the water real fast and get her dressed for bed.  All I can to that is GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

    So I'm still pretty fired up right now. I thought that perhaps typing out my horrible sh*t-day and mood would make me feel better, but it doesn't.

    Maybe I'll resume packing some stuff.... I dunno

    Oh yeah - after posting this, I went to the kitchen and killed a nice big cockroach. F*cking lovely!
