Megan Guarnier has been racing out of Northern California for several years. After time on regional and US programs like Proman, and TIBCO, Guarnier will be making the leap full time to Europe to race with the "Rabobank" squad in 2013. Guarnier turned heads in 2011 after winning the Giro di Toscana, one of the most prestigious womens races in cycling, and then won the 2012 US National Championship roadrace.
NorCal Cycling News catches up with Guarnier to talk about women's cycling and how her evolution from rookie to pro unfolded over the last several years.
