Al-Shereef Muhammad is a 31 year old blackman born in St. Louis, MO. He is recently married! He saw that the best foods that were prescribed for us are in stores that were not in the neighborhoods of the black community. The majority of the stores in the black community offered poor foods at a cheap price to attract usl The stores that offered the best foods which are more expensive were far away from our communities. I have a desire to provide the best stores in the black community so that we could have access to foods that make us have more abundant life. I was inspired to educate myself on the benefits of the fruits and vegetables that Hon. Elijah Muhammad prescribed and also the negative effects on the foods that he prescribed not to eat. I later became involved in food co-ops and had a strong desire to work on a farm to understand the process of growing food.  I looked up apprenticeship and found a very interesting program managed by Berger Bluff Farm an organic vegetable farm that sells to the public and various restaurants ...
