The NNIA presents Recovery Radio Fresno with Louis Angel and Deborah Galasso

Deborah wrote a wonderful book about the serenity prayer and will be talking about her life of recovey. Here is a little insight into who are guest speaker is.

Deborah Galasso, RN, MS is a clinical nurse specialist who has worked in the behavioral health field throughout her thirty-five year career.  She received her master's degree from Loma Linda University and her certificate in Advanced Alcohol and Drug Studies form the University of California in Riverside.  Deborah has conducted workshops and educational programs in both hospital and community settings on many topics related to addiction recovery.  She has served as program leader for the recovery ministry at Centerpoint Church in Colton, California since 2001.

Her book is called, Living Serenity:  The Serenity Prayer and Scripture is about applying the scriptural foundations underlying the principles of the Serenity Prayer to recovery.  The book thoroughly examines each concept and principle contained in the prayer and includes her experiences with using the prayer in her own recovery.  Each chapter concludes with questions to help the reader apply the concepts to their own recovery as well as scriptures for further study on the chapter topics.

This is an important prayer in recovery as it is used and accepted by many different programs when helping those with fighting addiction and spritual reconnection. I encourge you to tune in and contact use while we are live so that you can talk to our guest or I about this subject.  If you want to be a guest speaker call me at 559-492-0215 or at recoveryradiofresno@gmail.com
