The NNIA network with your host Louis Angel presents Dawn Wildsmith and her story called from Riches to Rags.

Because of the harsh economic times our country has suffered, a small but growing group of homeless individuals is quickly gaining momentum. This homeless group consists of successful professionals who are struggling to maintain a lifestyle they enjoyed before they lost everything. These people are experiencing the trauma of being “economically homeless.”
Even though there are numerous state-run social programs, these individuals do not meet any of the behavioral problems normally associated with someone who is homeless. They do not have any psychological, mental or behavioral disorders. Therefore, they do not qualify for many of the programs offered by the state and are not able to receive these services.
On Saturdy at 9:00 pm (PST) we will discuss the problems of being “economically homeless” through the eyes of one woman. Her name is Dawn Wildsmith. She was an actress, and is a “magic surrealist” artist. She is an intelligent and articulate woman who will share her story of success, money and admiration, and contrast this to being homeless and struggling to make any ends meet.
What makes her story a lifeline for each of us to grab ahold of, is even though she sees her struggle as daunting, she has a vision of how to empower others and help them rebuild their lives from the rags, and regain a piece of those riches. She hopes to accomplish this through her unique artwork and by creating a unique place where any homeless person can thrive.
Join us, as we explore a view of our society few people are willing to admit. If you have ever wondered what it feels like to have and now to have not, this show will help you see a side of homelessness you have never envisioned as happening to you. Being “economically homeless is a new and untold story everyone needs to hear.
