Machiavelli (1513) said that the most difficult thing to do is attempting to get people to change their established systems and beliefs. He was right and we will look at why this is so; you'll probably agree as well.
Resistance to moving forward is a common characteristic in most people; it results in discomfort, even pain. We love comfort and Rick Warren (The Purpose-Driven LIfe) tells us "God's ultimate goal for your life on earth is not comfort, but character development." That even sounds like work...and pain. Is this the way personal growth is, has to be, the only way...the best way? There are countless examples in history of people who simply tell us their stories of personal struggle leading to a level of meaning, purpose, and victory they never experienced before.
Do you wonder why this is so? My invitation to you is to join me in this message entitled "Direction Is About Receiving and Believing." Part of this is my journey but it's also the journey of many others as well. Perhaps this will save you some time in your path to a more contented, fulfilled life. The journey isn't supposed to be hard, my friends; in fact, it's a joyous one; we just don't recognize it most of the time. Today, we will continue looking at the series "Closing The Integrity Gap."
