Is Moving the School Election to November Right For Your District?

Recently both houses of the New Jersey Legislature passed a bill that would give individual school boards the option of moving board member elections to November while at the same time eliminating the need for public approval of the school budget if it is at or below cap.  (Please note that Governor Christie has not signed the bill into law yet.)  If the bill is signed into law, school boards that would like to change the election date will have to consider several factors.   When do they need to act? Who do they need to notify of the decision?  Can they change their minds? Please join host Ray Pinney as he discusses these and many other questions with NJSBA Attorney John Burns.
