A Day at the Exxxotica Expo with Andrea Tarr & Jim Cook

The Exxxotica Expo bills itself as the “largest event in the USA dedicated to love and sex.” Naturally I had to experience this for myself, so with press pass in hand and sense of humor intact, I went to the New Jersey Expo and Convention Center in Edison as a photojournalist to capture the day in photos. My companion for the day was Jim Cook, who, like me, wanted to learn more about the adult entertainment industry. And we did. The Expo featured about 100 exhibitors showcasing products and services from mild to wild and providing a memorable shopping experience to be sure. Some consider Exxxotica controversial, but the Expo attracts thousand of fans and curiosity seekers of all ages. In addition to the many retail vendors, there were over 100 stars from the adult industry including "Queen of " Jenna Jameson and the legendary Ron Jeremy. I noticed there were as many women in attendance as there were men during my day at the expo, and to satisfy those ladies Exxxotica wisely featured a male dance troupe from Chicago -- MEN -The Show! You really had to be there, and I was so glad I was. Over three days, attendees were treated to stage shows, sexy and informative seminars ranging from foreplay, how to select the right toy by Toy Closet NYC, and how to break into the adult entertainment industry. Exxxotica averages 20,000 people per weekend and I’m sure many of them were there to check out the Dungeon, an interactive attraction hosted by Mistress C.
