Some creative people get a late start with their careers, but for Lawrence Bromell, Jr., the beginning came unexpectedly when he very young. An ad in TV Guide got his attention, and he drew Tippy the Turtle to perfection and submitted it for the chance to win a scholarship to art school. And he won! Since he was only 10 years old, he was not allowed to accept the scholarship, but his future path to the arts was cast. Larry is one of those rare artists who creates with beauty, skill and proficiency in various mediums. He paints, creates digital illustrations, and is an accomplished graphic designer. But another medium recently caught Larry’s artistic eye – the human canvas. Now Larry is working on his apprenticeship to become a tattoo artist. Why not? He tackled just about every other medium with great success and has already created designs for other tattoo artists.
There is another creative side to Larry that includes his camera work in films: cameraman, cinematographer, second unit director, and editor. And let’s not forget his 2010 acting credit in Hate’s Haunted Sleigh Ride. Steeline Designs was founded by Larry to create graphic designs, special effects, advertising, motion graphics, and video production. His other company, Take 5 Productions, creates promotional videos, marketing, and advertising for corporations. See what I mean? Larry runs the full gamut of creativity and that’s what makes him such an interesting guy. After the interview, please check out After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for additional information.
