It’s February and love is in the air. All you need is love. Love is a many-splendored thing. I can’t help falling in love with you. When I fall in love, it will be forever. Wait a minute! If love was easy to find, there would be no one on dating sites. In reality, the course of true love never did run smooth. Physical attraction is one of those “you know it when you see it” concepts. Sometimes we confuse the feeling of attraction with the emotion of love. Not being able to distinguish these can keep people on the same path of bad relationship selection because they keep choosing the same way and getting the same wrong people. Attraction can also be based on behavioral characteristics. Some women are attracted to guys with a great sense of humor. Others are attracted to athletic guys because of the behavioral qualities of athletes. And then there’s the attraction of the “bad boy.” Ladies, you know what I’m talking about. These rebels without causes are confident, exciting, adventurous, and mysterious. They’re totally indifferent, very masculine, and being with them is a challenge. Hey, I know. I’m attracted to them too! As Baby said in Dirty Dancing, "I'm scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I’m with you!" Cher has a different take: "Men are a luxury. Not a necessity."

Guys have issues too; they are often swept away by “bad girls."  Mean, manipulative women who make constant and unreasonable demands. And you still miss her? What about the nice guys and girls of the world? Do they stand a chance?  Join Life Coach Jenn A. Nocera and me for light-hearted observations about love. After the interview, check out After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live.
