Are you happy? According to the Happiness Index, the residents of the USA rank 13th in the world in terms of their overall happiness. The top three happiest countries are Iceland, Sweden, and Denmark. So what’s going on in America? We already know money doesn’t buy happiness. No matter how much we earn, no matter how much we have in the bank, no matter how nice our clothing or cars or toys, none of it will make us any happier. On this show, Life Coach Jenn A. Nocera and I will discuss some of the traits of happy people. Genuine happiness comes from a different place within us. Happy folks have good relationships, are positive thinkers, live in the present, and know what’s truly important in their lives. Of course there’s so much more than that. While you can’t buy happiness, you can definitely cultivate some of the traits that lead to happier and therefore richer lives. Just like the song says, “don’t worry, be happy.” Stop focusing on what you don’t have and express some gratitude for what you do have. Happiness can be learned, but finding meaning and a purpose in life is what leads to it, not the other way around. The happiest people appreciate and realize that being happy adds years to their life, and life to their years. Oh, and here’s something happy people don’t do very often – watch TV! Hopefully they listen to internet radio. After the show, please check out After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for additional information.
