James Guinta is a master hypnotist and the owner of Trance Formation Hypnosis in Red Bank. Have you ever considered hypnosis as a means to stop smoking? Or lose weight? Or to stop biting your nails or to free yourself from a fear of flying? People turn to hypnosis for a variety of reasons, and there’s enough research out there to understand why – success! Hypnosis is often the best way to modify your behavior for the better, and this show will help us to understand the process of hypnosis and determine if it’s right for you.

James is well credentialed and holds many certifications in his field including those from American Board of Hypnotherapy, International Association of Counselors and Therapists, American Hypnosis Association, and the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association. Many people (including me) have fears about dental treatment, so I’ll certainly be asking James how he treats this common problem. In his private practice he has successfully assisted clients in achieving their personal goals in such areas as stress reduction, overcoming fears, test anxiety, increasing self-confidence and self-esteem, smoking cessation, weight loss, pain management, and more.

A common misconception is that under hypnosis you might do or say something against your will. The reality is that hypnotists can’t make you do something against your will. If any suggestion is made that is contrary to one’s natural inclination, the mind rejects the suggestion. For example, a law-abiding person cannot be influenced to commit a crime.

James will set the record straight on the many benefits of hypnosis with his usual good humor and candor. After the interview, please visit After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for additional information and how to get in touch with James.
