The Black Box of Asbury Park -- Reboot and More!

Today we’ll have the opportunity to meet Susan Marco, Production Manager, and George Hansel, Artistic Director of the Black Box of Asbury Park. They’ll describe the current revitalization efforts underway and what we can expect from them going forward. We’ll also be joined by Midge Guerrera. In honor of the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, she has written E-Mail 9/12, which will be staged on September 9-11 at the VFW Hall 1333. This presentation is a fund raiser for the VFW, the Asbury Park Fire Department and/or the Black Box of Asbury Park.

 Black Box was founded in 2000 by a diverse group of area artists and residents committed to the multi-cultural revitalization of Asbury Park through the arts. Black Box supports the evolution of projects and collaborations not possible under the constraints of regular commercial theatre. They believe that the performing and visual arts provide a powerful method for bringing renewed vitality to the City of Asbury Park.
