Michael Uslan is the executive producer of the Batman movies from Batman to the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises, and he just happens to be one of the Jersey Shore’s favorite sons. His new book, The Boy Who Loved Batman, is his memoir of how a comic-obsessed kid managed to bring the Dark Knight to the silver screen. This is a man who pursued his dreams with passion and perseverance, since it took 10 long years to get Batman produced and make his personal dream a reality. As a student at Indiana University, he created and taught the first accredited college course on comics. And he even got the opportunity to work at DC comics and write some Batman comics along the way. So how did Michael manage to transform his love of comics, and Batman in particular, into a successful career as a movie producer? Listen to this interview to find out! But wait – there’s more: on August 21, Michael will be speaking at the Axelrod PAC in Deal, and on August 22, he will be at a special Q&A session at the Watermark in Asbury Park and a Batman movie will be shown on the beach. After the interview, make sure you check out our blog, After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live!
